"Winter's Darkest Hours"
       by Thomas Juzwiak, ASCAP

Composer's Note:

“Winter’s Darkest Hours” is my depiction, through music, of the “doldrums’ associated with the winter months. Getting dark so early, and staying dark into the morning. We all go through it. However, just as the end of every winter has the beginning of a new spring, so does this selection. At the end you can “hear” the change in season.

Lots of moving parts, moderate ranges. Starts off with a Tenor Sax solo. A great piece for a spring concert as we put the winter behind us."

A musical representation of the many moods that can occur throughout the winter season. The evocative music explores and reflects the contrasting feelings of joyous celebration, thoughtful reflection, and powerful resolve that one experiences during this time of year. Enjoy this exciting new work.
