UN'OCCASIONE GIOIOSA SUN copy.1.jpeg

"Un'occasione Gioiosa"
       by Thomas Juzwiak, ASCAP

Composer's Note:

“Un’occasione Gioiosa” or A Joyous Occasion is a brisk, uplifting piece of music. From the very beginning, with the percussion in all it’s glory ( 8 players, including 3 mallet parts) to the very end is a non stop celebration. Very little time to rest and no slower middle section.

The melody consists of a tricky 16th note triplet figure. Many of the ranges are pushed to upper limits. At the very end the French Horn is given the choice to finish on a high (written) Bb.

A true feel good piece, appropriate for insertion anywhere in a concert program. Students will love learning it and playing it."

““Un’occasione Gioiosa” is masterful. If you are looking to start your next concert in an uplifting way, look no further! The positive energy and feeling created here is second to none as every section of the band brings joy into the sound.
