Composer's Note:
Full concert band, great for middle school level players or emerging high schoolers...and perfect for a spring concert!! “Just Another Lazy Summer Day” is a laid back, relaxing type of song. It features the Alto Sax with a solo at the beginning and end. Simple melody with plenty of harmonic support in a couple different ways. Mostly modest ranges. The oboe goes to high “A” and the euphonium goes to high “F”.
The audience can close their eyes an imagine they are swinging gently on a hammock on a summer day. Not a worry in their minds.
