For All We Know SUN COVERJ.jpeg

"For All We Know"
       by Thomas Juzwiak, ASCAP

A beautiful lyrical piece that holds the listener's engagement from beginning to end. This piece explores a wide variety of colors while careful scoring creates peaks and valleys that bring out the full emotion of the piece. The perfect way to show off your band's tone and musicianship.

Composer's note: “For All We Know” is a slow, contemplative song. Admittedly, heavy on the woodwinds. It starts out with a solo clarinet in the lower register, accompanied by divisi flutes. Soon more woodwinds join then the full ensemble. Next the second melody is introduced by a solo oboe and solo baritone horn, with simple whole notes underneath them. Again, more instruments join. Then a short little bridge into the entire ensemble playing theme one over theme two. The piece ends as it started.

This is an advanced piece of music. Some of the woodwind ranges are stretched. The 1st clarinet goes up to a high “D” and the flutes go up to a high “G”. The 2nd and 3rd clarinets also go quite high as does the baritone horn ( high “F”).
