"Collision Course"
       by Composer Spencer Nance

“Collision Course” is a piece that is supposed to simulate two objects and the inevitable collision. The piece begins with an exciting up-tempo section before slowing down and feature the brass section in a chorale-like section before once again thrusting the listener into the up-tempo drive to end the piece. The chorale section is just long enough to teach key musical elements such as balance, blend, and intonation but yet not too long that students will check out of the rehearsal. This is sure to give the students in your ensemble something to practice and grow musically. I hope you enjoy working on “Collision Course”
