"Aldea" by Thomas Juzwiak, ASCAP
“Aldea” is a melodic, fantasy piece which starts out in 7/4 time and switches time signatures throughout. The introductory section gives an ethereal feel as if floating through space. The middle section has a lite Concert March like feel with the snare drum playing a prominent role. The title is based off of an imaginary planet mentioned on the TV series “Star Trek the Next Generation” Suitable for high school level students, advanced middle school bands should find it challenging but attainable.
